Renewal Community

"Renewal Community" refers to the federal tax incentive program designed to stimulate business growth by encouraging businesses to locate or expand operations within the community and to hire Memphis Renewal Community residents. Businesses located within the 48 designated census tracts are eligible for federal tax incentives that can lower their overall federal tax bill. These tax incentives are available to businesses during the period from January 1, 2002, through December 31, 2009. See www.cityofmemphis.org/rc for more information.
